New (to me) music
So in a recent periodic "spring clean" of my online activities (what does one call them anyway) one of the things I did was to finally clear out my feedly account. I deleted defunct/inactive feeds and moved feeds of blogs I still want to read over to NetNewsWire. I don't really know why I was hanging on to all the feeds - sentimental reasons?
And now that I've started blogging again and am on a platform where I can see other folks' blogs, I'm also starting to read new blogs. People are still blogging! I'm enjoying these glimpses into other people's lives. Maybe it's also reminding a bit of the old days when I was blogging way back in the 2000s and started "meeting" people and actually making friends that way? (Was just talking to M about friends, old friends, and wanting to make new friends. But that's another story.)
Anyway one of the things I've been noticing is bloggers recommending or mentioning music on their blogs. So I've gone and looked up their mentions and lo and behold, I'm finding new-to-me music and am actually enjoying a fair bit of it.
Recent finds:
- Bach: Goldberg Variations, BMW 988 - Thibaut Garcia and Antoine Morinière. Arranged for two guitars, beautiful. Not sure how I missed this one when it was released as apparently it was very popular?
- Don't Be Funny Without Me - Le Ren
- Standard of Language - Kenny Garrett
It's been a fun "side effect" of blogging/reading blogs.
